The Big Decision

You’re probably wondering what in the world is the big decision and why is there a whole page dedicated to it?

Well the big decision is a term I use to describe the point when you decide to go natural. Many people have their reasons ranging from being weary of relaxed hair to just wanting to see the natural texture of their hair. For me, I went natural because I had grown weary of perming my hair after seeing the disastrous effects it was having on my hair i.e. thinning, breakage etc. to the point that it was my hairdresser that advised me to. You know its bad when your hair dresser is telling you to go natural!

So ladies I’m gonna be real. Going natural may not be welcomed by positive feedback from everyone (or anyone for that matter). When I BCd not everybody supported it at all. I had a lot of rude and snide comments. Some people didn’t even have to say anything to make their opinions known. It was upsetting at first but I didn’t let it affect me because I knew why I was doing it and what my end goal was. The same goes for you. If you do go natural and especially BC, it’s important to know why because should negative vibes surface from others, you’ll be reminded of the bigger picture and persevere :)

Be sure to let me know what your experiences were (or are) when going natural or getting a BC. Either comment below or email me (details on the contact me page). Also email me with any burning questions on this issue or anything related for that matter!
